Lost Wax Casting and Craftsmanship
This museum-quality bronze statue is handmade using the traditional lost wax casting process. Individual bronze sections are cast, joined, and carefully finished by skilled artisans to preserve the sculpture’s detail and character. Production typically takes 30 to 60 days when a piece must be made. These heirloom-quality bronzes are made to be enjoyed for generations with proper care.
Hand-Finished Patina and Custom Color
Artisans hand-finish the sculpture with a multicolor acid patina that complements the children’s expressive features and the textured log. We make every effort to keep the multicolor finish available. An all-brown bronze patina can be custom applied by request and generally requires 4 to 8 weeks. Because each sculpture is finished by hand, subtle variations in color and shading are part of its individual character.
Optional Mounting Nuts
For permanent installation, mounting nuts can be welded underneath the bronze for an additional $49.95. These provide threaded attachment points so the sculpture can be bolted down and secured to a suitable mounting surface. Select Welded mounting nuts (+$49.95) before adding the statue to your cart if you would like this feature added.
Bronze Care and Maintenance Kit
Add the Bronze Care and Maintenance Kit for $69.95 using the option above. You can order the statue alone, with mounting nuts, with the kit, or with both additions. For kit details and guidance on caring for your sculpture’s finish, call 1-800-664-4034.
