Shipping policy

F&R Bronze Company ships bronze statues and sculptures throughout the United States and worldwide. Because bronze is exceptionally dense and many pieces require specialized packing, crating, insurance, handling, and freight service, delivery methods vary according to the size, weight, destination, and site requirements of each order.

Shipping Within the Contiguous United States

Standard shipping or freight is included in the advertised price of products delivered within the contiguous 48 United States unless a product page, custom quote, or written agreement expressly states otherwise.

Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, United States territories, and destinations outside the United States is not included in the standard product price. Contact F&R Bronze Company at 1-800-664-4034 or sales@frbronze.com for availability and a delivery quote before ordering.

Processing and Availability

Confirmed in-stock pieces normally ship within 48 hours after the order is accepted. Customers who want to confirm availability before ordering may call F&R Bronze Company at 1-800-664-4034.

If a piece is not confirmed in stock, F&R Bronze Company will verify its availability and notify the customer of the expected production and shipping timeframe. Because each bronze is handmade and hand-cast in multiple sections using the traditional lost-wax casting process, production for a piece that must be cast typically takes approximately 30 to 60 days. Custom, monumental, and quantity orders may require additional time depending on their size, complexity, finishing requirements, and order quantity.

If an item is unavailable or its expected timing changes materially, F&R Bronze Company will contact the customer with available options. Tracking or freight information will be provided when available after the shipment has been released to the carrier.

Delivery dates are estimates rather than guarantees unless F&R Bronze Company expressly agrees to a guaranteed date in writing. Carrier delays, severe weather, natural disasters, labor disruptions, customs processing, site restrictions, and other circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect delivery.

Parcel and Freight Delivery

Smaller bronze statues are generally shipped by an insured parcel carrier such as UPS or FedEx. Larger, heavier, life-size, and monumental bronzes are generally shipped by an insured common freight carrier.

Most pieces ship by ground service or common freight, depending on their size and weight. Because bronze statues are unusually dense and require careful packing and handling, expedited service is not available for every piece or destination. For expedited shipping options and a quote, please call F&R Bronze Company at 1-800-664-4034 before ordering.

Unless expressly included in a written quote, freight delivery is not a white-glove service and does not include inside delivery, unpacking, assembly, installation, placement, anchoring, crane service, forklift service, lift-gate service, removal of packing materials, or movement of the bronze to its final location.

The customer is responsible for confirming that the delivery site is accessible to the carrier and for arranging any required labor, forklift, crane, loading dock, lift gate, equipment, permits, site preparation, unloading, unpacking, movement, installation, or anchoring. Additional carrier charges caused by restricted access, missed appointments, redelivery, address changes, storage, detention, or services requested by the customer may be charged to the customer.

Delivery Appointments and Inspection

High-value freight shipments require an adult customer or authorized representative to be present for delivery and inspection. The customer should arrange delivery for a time when the shipment can be carefully examined.

Before signing the carrier's delivery receipt or bill of lading:

  1. Inspect the carton, crate, pallet, straps, wrapping, and all visible portions of the bronze.
  2. When the carrier permits it and it can be done safely, open the shipment and inspect the bronze while the driver is present.
  3. Photograph the shipment from multiple angles and document any punctures, crushing, broken bands, exposed areas, or other signs of mishandling.
  4. Write a specific description of all visible damage on the delivery receipt or bill of lading before signing. Do not write only "subject to inspection."
  5. Record the carrier's name, the driver's identifying information when available, the shipment or PRO number, and the carrier's damage-reporting contact information.
  6. If the shipment or artwork appears severely damaged, refuse delivery when permitted by the carrier and contact both the carrier and F&R Bronze Company immediately.

Visible damage must be reported to the carrier and F&R Bronze Company at the time of delivery. Concealed shipping damage that could not reasonably be identified during delivery inspection must be reported to both the carrier and F&R Bronze Company immediately after discovery and no later than 48 hours after delivery. See our Refund, Return & Damage Claim Policy for Bronze Statues for complete claim requirements.

Address Accuracy

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, telephone number, email address, access information, and receiving-contact information. Contact F&R Bronze Company immediately if any information changes. An address change after shipment may not be possible and may result in additional carrier charges or delays.

International Shipping

International shipping is available for select orders and destinations by advance quote. International orders may require specialized export packing, freight forwarding, customs documentation, duties, tariffs, taxes, brokerage, permits, and destination services. Unless expressly included in a written F&R Bronze Company quote, the customer is responsible for all such charges and requirements.

International delivery times are estimates and can be affected by customs and local carriers. All international sales are final except for an approved shipping-damage claim under our Refund, Return & Damage Claim Policy for Bronze Statues.

Custom Quotes

Custom, commercial, award, quantity, life-size, monumental, or specialized-delivery quotes may include different shipping terms. The written quote controls when it expressly differs from this policy.
