This museum-quality bronze sculpture is made by hand through the traditional lost wax casting process. The work is cast in carefully formed bronze sections, then skilled artisans assemble the components, chase and refine the metal, restore fine surface details, and finish the sculpture by hand. This detailed process commonly takes 30 to 60 days and gives each casting subtle individual character.

Skilled artisans complete the sculpture with a custom, hand-rubbed multicolor acid patina that brings depth to the boy, mailbox, clothing, and textured tree. We make every effort to keep this finish available. A traditional all-brown bronze patina can be custom applied by request. Please allow approximately 4 to 8 weeks for custom patina work.
