Boys Playing with Car is a monumental children's bronze statue that captures two young friends absorbed in their favorite pastime. The boys gather around a toy car with the focus and enthusiasm children bring to make-believe, creating a warm, nostalgic scene filled with movement, personality, and storytelling detail.

At approximately 34 inches high by 75 inches long, this large bronze sculpture has the presence to anchor a park, school, library, playground, resort, garden, family gathering place, or commercial landscape. Its long composition creates visual interest from several viewpoints and makes the sculpture especially well suited for an open lawn, walkway, or welcoming public space.

This museum-quality bronze is made by hand through the traditional lost wax casting process. Skilled artisans cast the sculpture in carefully formed bronze sections, assemble the components, chase and refine the metal, restore fine surface details, and complete the finish by hand. This detailed process commonly takes 30 to 60 days and gives each casting subtle individual character.

The sculpture is normally finished with a layered, multicolor acid patina that is applied and refined by hand to enrich the clothing, figures, and toy car. We make every effort to keep this finish available. A traditional all-brown bronze patina may be requested as a custom finish. Please allow approximately 4 to 8 weeks for custom patina work.
