An icon of the American West
The Bronco Buster, also known as The Broncho Buster, was Frederic Remington's first bronze sculpture, created in 1895. A cowboy grips the reins as his bronco rears onto its hind legs, horse and rider caught at the height of the struggle. More than a century later, the composition still captures the courage and grit of the American West.
A sculpture with a presidential history
In 1898, Theodore Roosevelt's Rough Riders presented their colonel with a casting of The Bronco Buster. A cast of this celebrated sculpture has also been displayed in the Oval Office under multiple presidents. Our reproduction brings that Western subject into your home, office or award presentation.
Museum-quality craftsmanship
Our Bronco Buster bronze statue is made using the traditional lost-wax casting process and finished by hand with a hand-rubbed patina. The modeled muscles, rider's clothing and dramatic movement give the piece character from every angle. Subtle differences in the hand-applied finish make each bronze individual.
For an award or personal gift, a custom engraved plate is available for $24.95 extra on the Baby, Mini, Medium, Regular and Jumbo sizes. Add your tournament name, year or recipient's name using two lines of up to 21 characters each, including spaces and punctuation.
A place of honor at home or in the office
Place the Bronco Buster on an executive desk, a library shelf, a ranch-house mantel or in a clubhouse trophy case. The warm patina and dramatic silhouette bring a sense of history and presence to the setting. Choose a smaller bronze for a close-up display or a larger size for a more commanding focal point.
A memorable award and gift
Golf clubs have presented Bronco Buster bronzes to tournament champions for decades. The subject also lends itself to executive gifts, retirement awards, rodeo trophies and corporate recognition. It is a hand-finished bronze that the recipient can display and enjoy for years, and pass down with proper care.
