Pony Express
This bronze statue by Max Turner
is handmade and cast in the
traditional Lost Wax Casting
Process. This insures a quality
bronze sculpture that may be
passed down from generation to
generation. From April 3, 1860 to
October 1861 the Pony Express
was a vital part of carrying
mail fro St. Joseph, MO to
Sacramento, CA. The telegraph
was still being made and
stationed around the US and it
stopped in St. Joseph, MO and
that is where the Pony Express
picked up until the telegraph
was completed.
